It's no big deal making new versions, since I have a master file that is used as the template to change over 3000 enemy formation entries.
THE LAST REMNANT MODS PC SHIELD MOD

Making two unions isn't a great option, since I can only bring three characters in so that means both unions fall over from a stiff breeze.Įdit: I might attempt Blackdale without the BR scaling mod and put it back in afterwards, that might be simpler than making more, easier versions of the mod just for this RNG-heavy stumbling block. It's a mix of overwhelming enemy numbers, and random chance if the game wants to gang up on my controllable unions. It's still insanely hard to beat, and for the past while I've been throwing myself against it with various strategies such as picking off smaller unions (before it just turns into an uncontrollable brawl) or trying to hold back and protect Rush's union while the AI dukes it out, though the enemy is now strong enough to overwhelm the guest unions. I might wind up messing with some Cheat Engine stuff for some brief god-mode just until after Dillmoor, but man maybe some of those very very early monsters and boss fights could be toned down a little? Thank you for your feedback! I have added the 67% linear version which should have a far more forgiving start for the game. I tried to keep the main party back from the fighting while the guest unions handle things, but the reinforcements roll in and wipe me out anyway. Similarly, I'm finding Dillmoor to be incredibly vicious, if not unbeatable, partially because the player is so limited in how many characters and unions you can make or control until later on.

No matter what way I set my team, everyone gets stomped in around one turn. The first visits to Gaslin Caves and that castle's ruins were both quite tough unless I was constantly healing, Baulson's sidequest is just unbeatable even after I did some grinding for a good hour or so. It is possible to beat the game without the mod, but it isn't that fun, imo, because you have to keep your BR in check all the time, while stressing about every single monster encounter trying to balance out BR exp with stat growth. I've been playing a good bit and haven't had too much trouble as of yet, doing a lot of side stuff before the battle to face the Generals and I think afterwards you get more members that can join you and etc, I'm currently 12 members max but anyway I guess what I am trying to say is it truly still too hard to beat without such a mod? If there were mods I wish there would be a way to lvl up guys we hire at the same time as we lvl or be on equal standing as we are when we hire em, or that they lvl up even if they are not in our unions as hired members and make battles speed up too heh It's true the recruits have higher starting stats in the PC version, but you still have to grind a bit for them to at least catch up with your current once recruited.
